A simple and obvious way to incorporate the scenery in is to let it shine in. This can be done by keeping the walls open or by having lots of windows. This strategy creates the feeling of an outdoor wedding while still keeping the guests covered. Consider renting a tent that is slightly larger than you actually need. This means guests do not need to be seated extremely close to the openings yet they still have a view. You may also consider opening only some of the sides of the tent – the ones that offer the best scenery. Wedding tent rentals should not mean renting a box; it should mean integrating the best of the outdoors inside. The good thing is that these tents are available in a whole lot of sizes and shapes. So, depending on your guest list and the events you plan in your party, you can get a tent and throw a fantastic bash that remains etched in the minds of your guests for a long long time. However, to ensure this, you need to put in some homework.

Once you get the marquees for sale you can use them for any other event that you will have in the future. We celebrate birthdays, weddings, family gatherings and many other social events. They could be work or family related and your marquees will always come in handy for all of them. When inclement weather threatens, it is important to rent sides for your tent which can be closed to keep out the rain and wind. Your guests will be glad for the comfort, but to be honest, the tent walls with those little plastic windows are not the most gorgeous thing you will ever see. Why not dress them up to make them a part of your wedding design instead of just something utilitarian? It would be adorable to whip up curtains to dress those plastic windows and beautify them. If you want something quick and easy to do, rent a bunch of potted trees or topiaries to place in front of the tent walls and break up all that plain white canvas.

Supported on aluminum poles, these tents for events are relatively quick to put up and take down, which can be important if you are paying a day rate for the space; this can be taken into account when you are choosing the structure. The flexibility of the design means that caterers can assemble their requirements to one side, flooring suitable for dancing can be put down; and furniture (or any props or decorations,) incorporated with ease. Clear span tents are the ones recommended by experts

This structure provides the necessary space, shade, and comfort to hold the special affair. Above all, tents can set the mood or ambience for the entire event; hence, they must be carefully chosen and properly installed. When opting for tent rentals for the wedding reception venue, make sure that expert providers assist you.

These professionals can help wedding coordinators, even the couple themselves, in planning, finding, and setting up the most ideal awning for their once-in-a-lifetime celebration. The pre-planning involves the settlement as to the size of tent needed to accommodate the number of expected guests. Of course, that also includes concerns about the location, such as overhead obstacles of dangling branches and power lines, plus the capacity of the available berth.

Large Double Glass Tent For Event

After settling those matters, these reliable providers can also help in choosing the type or style that best complements the theme or motif of the event, as well as the overall affair mood that the couple wants to achieve. They can have the traditional frame tents that are perfect for backyard wedding receptions. This is a freestanding structure that can allow users to install sidewalls if they prefer. They can be used in singles for smaller and more intimate celebrations; nevertheless, for more expected attendees, a couple of traditional frame tents can be put together.

Another plausible option for wedding tent rentals is the use of high-peaked tension covers. The main advantage of this style is that it is visually stunning both inside and out. Hence, they can significantly contribute in creating a romantic ambience for the event. Moreover, there are high quality versions with more features, such as optional windows, design accents, and more.

For bigger receptions with more guests, clear span tents are the ones recommended by experts. These are heavy duty awnings that have sturdier support poles around the perimeter to keep the structure up. Since they are wide and open, they can leave more options for the users to add the designs they want. Above all, clear span tents are wind and weather-resistant; therefore, they can be used efficiently anywhere, even at windy locations.

Without a reliable cover, a convenient and memorable outdoor wedding reception may be difficult to achieve. Thus, couples must be meticulous in choosing what can go best for their individual needs. Most importantly, they must hire the most reputable awning planners and providers that can guide them in finalizing their wedding tent rentals.

The next disturbing issue is probably the style of the wedding tent

Spring is closely approaching and the next wedding is knocking by but since the economy is not so favorable, you have decided to have your own backyard wedding. The question is just what size of a wedding tent is enough for the function? The best solution is perhaps calculating the number of people you would want to invite for the occasion. Trying to be within seventy people can be the best although you can give room for more, depending on the invited number since most parents can carry their children along. Think of what activities are going to take place under the tent. You may have planned for dining or a ceremony only.

If it is true that there is going to be dining, then a proper area should be arranged for serving a buffet or meals under the tent. Again, you might want to include a dancing floor for the occasion and this may include a space for the DJ or even a certain piece of band to embrace the occasion. When it comes to location of the tent, an urban backyard would require a smaller tent as compared to that of an open prairie. Whatever your option is, you should calculate the number of seats depending on your guest list. Calculating the square footage is inevitable. For instance, a one hundred square footage would do for round dinner table with about ten people. If your option is the banquet tables, then planning for 80 square feet per table will help accommodate 8 people.

You should calculate the dance floor based on the number of people that are invited and possibly, those who might attend. But if the largest number is going to be for the 65 and above in age, then there are possibilities that these may not shake a leg. Four square feet per person will do well for the dancing space under the wedding tent. Next, is the calculation for the space occupied by the DJ or the band. A 12 by 20 inch space will be enough for a 4 piece rock band along with their drums, guitars and other equipment. Remember that a sound engineer may need some space while troubleshooting sound problems.

wedding tents

People tend to think about others and forget about themselves. A head table is meant for you two, the bride and groom. You may want an elevated one with about twenty attendants or just a sweetheart table for the two of you. Whatever the solution, plenty of space should be allowed. Having come up with this idea of managing the space under the tent, the next disturbing issue is probably the style of the wedding tent.

The oldest but still catchy style is the pole tent. The other style is the track or frame tent which are made of frames such that there will be no need for poles in order to span the very top of your tent. There are many event rental companies with these solutions and paying them a visit earlier, might make you land on the best solution for your wedding tent.

There are many different types of marquees

There are many different types of marquees, of which the most common nowadays, is the aluminium frame marquee. This type of marquee is the most favoured because its clever design allows the most amount of flexibility of use of the space within it. By not having a support pole positioned in the middle of the tent, framed marquees allow you to layout your event without being restricted by internal vertical poles.

Traditional Pole Marquees

Most traditional pole marquees are made of canvas, which is kept under tension by support poles and guy ropes. The guy ropes are then attached to soft ground. This is much like when you attach a camping tent with pegs to the ground, but on a much larger scale. This requirement for the marquee to be fastened to the ground, to maintain its stability, is one of the main limitations with pole marquees.

Because pole marquees can’t be positioned on hard surfaces, sandy areas or gravel areas in large gardens, their use is rather limited. Once other types of marquee came onto the marquee hire market that offered more versatility in where you could put them, pole marquees became a thing of the past.

Aluminium Frame Marquees

Modern frame marquee design allows them to be positioned on car park areas, on a beach and or even on the deck of a barge. Because they rely on a rigid aluminium frame to hold the tent structure together, frame marquees can easily be located on hard or soft surfaces. And have the added benefit of not having support poles getting in the way of your choice of event layout inside the tent.

This versatility allows frame marquees to be able to be located over garden ponds, swimming pools, trees & shrubs and flower beds. This allows for a more visually exciting and interactive event area. Frame marquees are also a lot more stable than traditional pole marquees and have a longer shelf life, which is especially beneficial for marquee hire.

Another key benefit of frame marquees is that they can easily be erected against a wall, using it as a wall for the marquee. This is ideal for garden parties and wedding receptions, where the back entrance to a house can be used. This allows the hosts of the party to utilise areas of their house and the marquee area for their event.

Whereas pole marquees are for the most part made from canvas, frame marquees are made from a PVC or PE (polythene) material. These modern materials benefit from being stronger and much easier to maintain and clean.

High Peak Marquees

Frame marquees are not the only option when organising an outdoor corporate or wedding event. Particularly popular with corporate events, are ‘high peak’ tents. High peak tents are for the most part the same in design as frame marquees, apart from having a ‘floating’ pole, which is held in place off the ground by cables that run across the tent above head height.

It is this floating pole which gives high peak marquees their characteristic look. These types of marquee are much more visually appealing, from the outside and within due to their elegant shape.

High peak marquees have the look of pole marquees and the structural advantages of frame marquees. They can easily be erected as they have fewer parts and can be joined together for larger events more easily.

Marquees Shaped Architecture

A large corporate or sporting event that has multiple high peak tents joined together makes for a unique sight and has helped to influence many large buildings around the world. If you look at building such as the Olympic Stadium in Munich and the International Airport in Denver, it is clear to see obvious similarities to high peak marquee design.

Marquee Tent Design

Marquee tents are usually constructed of parts that can easily be used to attach many marquees together, making them more ideal for music festivals and large corporate events.

Usually corporate events and weddings organisers choose to hire marquees, though some larger companies are now, starting to buy their own and maintain them themselves. For the most part though, marquees are too expensive to buy, for what is an item which is only going to be used occasionally, so most people choose to hire rather than buy marquees.

With modern marquee design, windows and skylights can easily be incorporated with interchangeable roof and wall sections being able to be replaced with clear vinyl sections. This allows more natural light to get into your event area, to save on energy bills and create a more natural atmosphere.http://www.weddingtentsforsale.com

When a corporate event, a wedding, a special event, party or fundraiser is planned for outdoors

Tent Rental Disasters and How to Avoid Them

When a corporate event, a wedding, a special event, party or fundraiser is planned for outdoors, often an event tent or party tent will be required. Protection from the elements and providing for a central gathering area is essential. Over the years I’ve collected a few horror stories involving outdoor events. Some of the worst stories involved workers not realizing exactly where the power lines are located – both overhead and underground. Be sure to use an insured rental company who works with a qualified and trained staff to make sure your next event is a safe and enjoyable affair.

POOR INSTALLATION: A South Carolina hotel’s expansive grounds provided the perfect backdrop for a young couple’s wedding mid-afternoon reception. The wedding planner had spent two long days with her crew decorating the inside of a high-top marquee tent. It rained the night before the wedding. The tent company (from Florida) had staked the marquee tent in the grass; however, something had not gone well. The tent accumulated a lot of rain in drooped pockets on the roof and by late morning, many of the stakes pulled up. The reception was forced to move inside the hotel lobby, not an ideal solution as there was barely enough room for the guests.

POWER LINES: Two workers were killed and two others injured when a tent pole struck a power line at Thorn Hill Farms in McClellanville, SC. Dexter Keyes, 37, and John Fortney, 45 of Stage Presence Equipment Rentals were electrocuted when the metal tent pole they were erecting touched a low hanging power line over the site. (Projection, Lights & Staging News: PLSN.com)

STRONG WINDS: Last summer in Washington D.C., severe weather caused trees to topple. A permanent tent erected in the National Mall collapsed from the powerful wind gusts where several people had taken shelter. Luckily, all were rescued and no one was seriously injured. (WJLA.com news)

MICROBURST: “DALLAS COWBOYS BUBBLE TENT COLLAPSES” This structure is not the traditional event rental, but a bubble canopy. 70-80mph winds and a crazy microburst are the leading contenders for why the tent collapsed. Three people were seriously injured, including the Cowboy’s scouting assistant who is permanent paralyzed. (Story here)

STRONG WINDS: At a University of Buffalo graduation ceremony the winds became stronger and stronger. As people at the event noticed the weather getter worse, they asked to move the ceremonies inside. Shortly thereafter the tent collapsed. (WGRZ.com)

YET MORE STRONG WINDS: 5,000 festival goers were under the Oktoberfest Bier Garden tent and about 2,000 people were under another tent when they collapsed from strong winds. 21 people were taken to the hospital. (TulsaWorld.com)

Not all tents are staked in the ground. Some are built specifically to handle strong wind loads. Saddle spans, (ask known as saddlespan tents) for instance, are rated for up to a 70mph wind gust and are not always anchored into the ground via traditional tent stakes. Some tents use special eco-ballast (large recycled concrete blocks) as an anchoring system and many tents use water ballast tanks. All these anchor systems can work extremely well when installed correctly by trained crew. Some tents such as TopTents newest addition to the marketplace are specially designed to even withstand snow loads.

SAFETY FIRST!

Ask questions:

Is the tent material Fire Resist (not just Fire-Rated, it must be Fire Resistant)
What is the tent material? Some of the safest materials are manufactured with Polythene (PE) and Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC).
How old are the tents and have they been rated recently?
Are the framing materials rated? Are they structurally sound?
What is the dollar amount of liability on the tents? Ask for a fax or copy of the certificate of insurance.
Will the tents be staked or held with ballasts?
Are the tents rated for wind, snow or other bad weather conditions? Ask the tent rental company to elaborate – how strong of winds are the structures rated for? etc.
Make sure you understand the different style of tents being offered and each of their ratings.
Will the tents be inspected by the Fire Department after setup?
The single most critical safety decision you will make in relationship to installing a tent is the site location and the potential underground and or overhead utilities including: gas lines, power lines, septic and sewer lines, sprinkler systems, fiber optic cables, telephone transmission lines. The importance of taking the time to do whatever it takes to make a safe event cannot be overstated enough. CALL BEFORE YOU DIG OR STAKE!

It’s important to have safe event to be sure. When foul weather is expected, you can still count on having a successful event but using the qualified tent rental companies with a safe track record is a good start.
